Jet Set Redesign

I did a redesign of Jet Set Radio this semester. I placed it in France and had a lot of fun exploring what the city and characters would look like.

 Costume Class

For my final project I designed the evil fairy from the original sleeping beauty tale. In this version she is a marionette with influences from Victorian fashion and fungus (mushrooms, bio-luminescent fungus). She is a vain character, and her vanity is represented by the fungus growing and grotesquely exaggerating the shapes which are commonly found in Victorian dress.

Here are some of the paintings I've done out in the field with mah laptop. The bottom 5 are photo studies. Range from 30 minutes to a little over an hour. The big one was about 6.

So I Sculpted Samus **Updated**

Last semester I took a maquette class where we could re-design and sculpt Samus or The Creature From the Black Lagoon. I decided to make mine a couture Samus with no sass spared. Well I finished it up and here she is. As you can see when translating the 2d design into 3d some things had to change. This was a great learning experience. Hope ya like it.

Here are some figures from last semester. I learned a ton of anatomy in this class which was what I was missing in my figures before. They got a lot better. Still a ton of improvement to be made.

Manifest

For one of my finals projects this semester we were given a script and had 5 weeks to flesh out as much as we could. The story in a nutshell is a trash man is suddenly thrust into a crazy government conspiracy where "aliens" created by the govt. poison the population by air. Tyler survives, but is captured and taken to a military base where he is given hands with the power to manifest whatever he has touched. He breaks out, learns the government created the aliens and sets out to get revenge.

 The main character, Tyler.

 Gorwell is a rough and tumble drill instructor type. Hes a dick.

Olly is a 16 y.o. emo kid with a serious attitude. 

The genetically engineered alien. Meant to be an image to show the public the aliens

were really invading rather than an actual menacing figure. I wanted the audience to pity 

the creature after they learn its just a scapegoat.
